WHERE DOES THE WATER GO?
Capturing downspouts is the first major step, the second is routing the water somewhere safe.
NATRUAL DRAINAGE
Where possible, it's ideal to discharge into a county drainage ditch, creek, etc. effectively routing natural rain-water into the natural drainage solution.
POP-UP DRAIN
In urban environments, routing the downspout drainage into a pop-up emitter drain is often the best option (typically next to the sidewalk or street)
STORM DRAIN
Where available (typically in planned developments) routing the drainage into a county drain is ideal, effectively routing the drainage into a capable system designed to handle a surge of water from storms.
DRY WELL
