SCHEDULING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Due to many different variables such as weather, MISS Dig (811), material/supply availability, weather, operational equipment (sadly everything breaks from time to time) vacation schedules, projects taking longer or the scope changing, AJS Groundcare generally schedules ~7-10 days out.

DO YOU OFFER EMERGENCY SCHEDULING?

Yes, when there's a dire need (typically water & drainage issues, basements flooding, etc.) we'll do our best to prioritize emergency work as quickly as possible!

HOW IS SCHEDULING MANAGED?

Typically work is scheduled first come first serve and about ~7 to 10 days in the future, there are however a few exceptions:

1. Sometimes there's an emergency (typically water & drainage related)

2. When customers request a specific timeframe (for example a specific day to have the beach cleaned right before a wedding, etc.)

3. When customers have multiple services scheduled (for example brush hogging or sand cleaning multiple times a year)

4. When it makes sense to schedule multiple smaller projects in the same day (typically beaches in the same neighborhood, etc.)

5. Sometimes a project is delayed due to MISSDig, material availability, equipment failures or other related circomstances.

WHEN WILL YOU BE ONSITE?

Once your quote is approved, we might have an idea of when we'll be onsite (example: 2 to 4 weeks) but that's highly variable (if it rains for the next two weeks, if it takes ~4 weeks to get supplies, etc.)

AJS Groundcare typically schedules ~7 to 10 days in advance, as that's all the more reliable the weather is (and sometimes isn't).

DOES WEAHTER IMPACT SCHEDULING?

YES! The only activity we can schedule during inclement weather is onsite quote stops & project reviews. Certain services can be scheduled once the weather clears up (example: brush hogging, etc.) other services need several clear & dry days (example: drainage, sand cleaning, etc.)

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS THE WORK SCHEDULED FOR?

Our working days are typically 8:00am to 5:00pm, so your appointment time is typically inside that range. All appointment times are estimated and if there are multiple stops in a day the technicians could be running ahead or behind schedule.

HOW DO I FOLLOW UP ON SCHEDULING?

You can call, text or email anytime to ask about scheduling progress.

Often the answer will be "you are on the list, there are X number ahead, ideally in X amount of time we'll reach out and schedule the project."
